We're located at a beautiful wooded camp called Pilgrim Firs outside Port orchard, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula. Early September is often blessed with glorious weather in the northwest, and classes can be held indoors or outdoors, depending on weather conditions. See "Travel Logistics" for directions. Click here for general information on the Pilgrim Firs Conference Center.
Pilgrim Firs has a lodge with a dining room that serves three meals a day. The meals are served buffet style. They are nutritious and simple, with a salad bar at all lunches and dinners. Coffee, hot water, and a selection of teas are available 24 hrs a day. Dietary needs and preferences – vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, etc. - can be indicated on our registration form; we will make sure that the kitchen staff knows about them.
If you want driving directions to Pilgrim Firs, or a ride from the airport, or the name of a local limo/shuttle service, or you want to offer a ride to anyone coming from your neighborhood, see the travel page.
We have maps of the Pilgrim Firs Conference Center and the general area on our Maps page.
Registration for the American Banjo Camp covers classes, concerts, jams, meals, and lodging. We can also accommodate commuter students who stay off site. See our lodging page.
