General Information:
Fort Flagler State Park is located eight miles northeast of Hadlock
(Port Hadlock), Wash., on the northern tip of Marrowstone Island.
The nearest placename likely to be recognized by online mapping programs is
Nordland, WA (about 1/4 mile south of Ft. Flagler).
The latitude and longitude of the camp is: 48.09796N, 122.69368W (useful
for some mapping programs).
From Mt. Vernon, Bellingham, Vancouver, BC, and points North:
+ Take WA-20 west from Mt. Vernon to Whidbey Island.
+ Follow WA-20 south to the Keystone Ferry.
+ Take the Keystone Ferry (1/2 hour crossing time) to Port Townsend.
+ Follow the Port Townsend directions below.
From Port Townsend:
+ Take WA-20 West & South to WA-19 (Airport Cutoff Rd) (~ 5 mi.).
+ Follow Wa-19 South & East to four-way stop in Port Hadlock (~3.5 mi.)
+ Turn left onto WA-116 (Oak Bay Rd); after ~0.7 mi. bear left onto
Flagler Rd (still WA-116).
+ Follow WA-116 to end of road at Fort Flagler (~9 mi.).
From Edmonds and North Seattle:
+ Take the Kingston Ferry to Kingston.
+ Go West on WA-104 (watch for right turn after ~3.5 mi.)
through Port Gamble (watch for speed limit and sharp left turn)
and across the Hood Canal Bridge (~10 mi. total).
+ Follow the Hood Canal Bridge directions below.
From Seattle:
+ Take the Bainbridge Island Ferry to Bainbridge.
+ Go North on WA-305 to WA-3 (~13 mi.).
+ Turn left onto WA-104 and cross the Hood Canal Bridge (~2 mi.).
+ Follow the Hood Canal Bridge directions below.
From SeaTac Airport:
+ Take WA-518 East towards I-5 South (~2.5 miles).
+ Take I-5 South to WA-16 (exit 132, Tacoma, ~22 miles).
+ Follow the Tacoma directions below.
From Tacoma and South Seattle:
+ Take WA-16 West until it becomes WA-3 North (~27 miles).
+ Continue on WA-3 North to WA-104 (~25 miles).
+ Turn left onto WA-104 and cross the Hood Canal Bridge (~2 miles).
+ Follow the Hood Canal Bridge directions below.
From the Hood Canal Bridge:
+ Follow WA-104 West ~5 mi. to WA-19.
+ Turn right onto WA-19 (Beaver Valley Rd) and go ~9 mi. to a four-way
stop in Chimacum.
+ Turn right onto Chimacum Rd. and go ~1.6 mi. to a four-way stop in
Port Hadlock.
+ Turn right onto WA-116 (Oak Bay Rd); after ~0.7 mi. bear left onto
Flagler Rd (still WA-116).
+ Follow WA-116 to end of road at Fort Flagler (~9 mi.).
From Olympia, Portland, and points south:
+ Drive north on I-5 to Olympia.
+ Turn left onto Hwy 101 West.
+ Go 80 miles and bear right onto Hwy 20 North.
+ Go ~3.7 miles and turn right onto Anderson Lake Rd.
+ Go ~2.7 miles and turn left onto Hwy 19 (Rhody Dr) North.
+ Go ~0.5 miles and turn right onto WA-116 (Oak Bay Rd); after ~1.7
mi. bear left onto Flagler Rd (still WA-116).
+ Follow WA-116 to end of road at Fort Flagler (~9 mi.).
